Heading to Winnipeg

We're leaving for Winnipeg in an hour or so. Doug has more friends there and we'll have another place to stay in about 4 or 5 days. We've not yet decided whether to take the more direct Yellowhead route or the slightly longer northern route through Dauphin. The northern route should only add about a half day to the trip (He said hopefully) and take us through less prairie-like areas so I'm thinking it might be a nice change. We won't decide for sure until we're at the fork in the road.
I'll try to write before we get to Manitoba's capital.
