Cycle Canada, Day 41, June 14/06

June 14/06, Wednesday                                                             Day 41              3910 Kms
Richard Lake Motel, South of Sudbury, Ont.                                                         95 Kms                       ~5:00 Hrs
We had visitors last night at Chutes Prov. Park. I was so tired I did a quick cleanup/organization and went to bed, leaving the rest to Doug.
Sometimes I'm so stunned. There had been a fox hanging around earlier but I'd not seen him for over an hour. After dark I was awakened by noises at the picnic table. It was too dark to see anything and I had no flashlight (having not used it I'd mailed it back from T.B.) I think it was a racoon eating the stuff that Doug had left on the table. I got up, surveyed the carnage and cleaned up everything that hadn't been torn open already by lighter-light. I loaded the bike and rolled it into the bath house then went back to bed.
Sometimes I'm so stunned.
I didn't clean up the stuff that that was already opened. Mr Racoon came back followed by Mr. Fox and they had a bit of a scrap about 15 ft from the tent. We couldn't see it, just hear it. Doug couldn't get it on the video either with the "Night Shot" setting. Too bad.
Also at the camp were Quebecois with tent-trailers on their Goldwings. Big rigs. Why not take a motor home instead of 5 people on 3 rigs?
Rode into a headwind most of the day. ~ 20 Km/Hr. Not horrible, but wearing. Got some e-mails off from the Lively, Ontario public library.
Riding on the "No Cycling" highway.
Truck driver who was something of a dick.
'Cycling Allowed' roads are not great. Narrow and rough.
